Need a venue space for your next event or reception? Then American Legion Post 41 in downtown Helena, Arkansas is the place for you. Located in the historic Richard L. Kitchens building constructed in 1922, it boasts ample on and off street parking for your guests and one of the most unique settings for any event. Known to locals as "The Hut," it is constructed mainly out of cypress logs and was modeled on what American soldiers constructed in France during World War I. There is a kitchen facility to help prepare food. Tables and chairs are also available for rental. The hardwood floors in the main hall make this a perfect place to hold a dance.
The "Hut" is still the home to American Legion Post 41, chartered on August 11, 1919, making it one of the oldest Legion Posts in active service in the United States. Members meet at 6PM on the first Tuesday of each month to conduct post business and enjoy a meal.

Mark Twain once described how he had an enjoyable time here, and so can you and your guests. On the grounds of the Post are a rare early US Air Force Jet and a French Railroad Boxcar that was one of 49 sent to the United States in 1949 as a gift from the people of France.
